Seals

Seals are cosmetic items that attach to Pokeballs and create particle effects when a Pokemon is sent out. They also provide small scoring bonuses during contests.

  1. A player obtains a seal item (from rewards, admin commands, etc.)
  2. Right-clicking the seal adds it to the player’s Seal Case (if one is in their inventory)
  3. The player opens their Seal Case GUI to manage seal placements on their Pokemon
  4. When the Pokemon is sent out (in contests or battle), the seal’s particle and sound effects play

Multiple seals can be placed on the same Pokemon using the Seal Case GUI. Each seal can be positioned differently, creating layered particle effects when the Pokemon is sent out. The placement position determines where the particles appear relative to the Pokemon.

Seals provide small scoring bonuses in contests:

  • Base bonus — All seals provide a flat appeal bonus
  • Rarity multiplier — Higher rarity seals give larger bonuses (1.0x to 2.5x)
  • Category affinity — Some seals grant extra bonus when matched to their category
  • Bonus is capped to a configurable maximum percentage of total score (default: 10%)

The Basic Seal Case (appears as an Ender Chest) stores up to 60 seals with up to 99 of each type.

  • Open with right-click when holding the Seal Case
  • Or use /contest seal gui to open directly
  • The Seal Case GUI shows all stored seals and lets you place them on Pokemon
  • Requires the reverie.sealcase.use permission

The Seal Remover (appears as a Glass Bottle) removes all seals from a Pokemon. Right-click to use — it’s consumed on use.
